It is unfortunate to witness how multiple of Christians place their faith more towards the message that speaks to this present life on earth based on wisdom of men, but full of uncertainty of the word that speaks on God’s promise of the present life and the one to come based on the imparted wisdom of the Spirit of God.
Beware, beloved, that you be not deceived and place your faith in men instead of God.
I have seen an evil thing under the sun, how men pursue impressive and plausible words which cannot save nor deliver and trod upon the truth because of its simplicity but let us not say that we are not forwarned for is not written in the Holy Scriptures:
And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. 1 Corinthians 2:4-5 KJV
If then in us should be found misconceptions about God through the portions of the knowledge of men, we can easily be offended of the truth of God and decide not listen to the Holy Spirit which results in falling short of the truth of God imagining that godliness is a way to worldly gain. (1Timothy 6:5-7)
Jesus Christ did not die on the cross for us that we may become worldly rich but heavenly wealthy! Concerning the present life, Jesus said:
Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also. John 15:20 KJV
and again it is written:
Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. Mattew 6:19-21 KJV
Now if we believe that the earth is a place where which good and precious things are collected then our hearts will not be anywhere near God, for as Jesus said in verse 21 above “where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” The scriptures state that “If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.” (1 John 2:15-17)
Do you not know that both Christ and the Father is above and not on earth and only the Holy Spirit has remained on earth?
But if we believe that God’s dwelling place is the place where which all good and precious things persist and laid up for us then let us also set our affection on things above and not on things on the earth. (Colossians 3:2)
Since life consists not in abundance of the things which we possess (Luke 12:15), let us hence have this confidence, mind, and speech that was in Apostle Paul gained through Christ, to mightly dwell in us:
…for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Philippians 4:11-13 KJV
Let us place our trust in the Lord that He will deliver us from all the afflictions and be on our guard against all covetousness for we cannot serve two masters (Matthew 6:24).
Do not seek to save yourself!
