But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. -Romans 5:8 KJV

Now this idea of “cleaning up my life before I can come to God, I need to solve something first then I’ll come to God“. The verse above confirms that God welcomes us to Him as we’re, since He does that, people ought to come to Him as they’re not being ashamed. Good, bad and ugly.

God doesn’t love us because we’re right with Him. The Bible says “He commanded His love toward us“, in other words, He chose to love us though we’re undeserving of His love. Now all we need is to learn to respond to His love for all of it to give eternal life.

For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; -Titus 2:11‭-‬12 KJV

Clearly the grace of God receives us as we’re but if we be found in the grace of our God, that same grace will eventually teach us the importance of change for the sake of our salvation. The change will not be our own doing but God’s.

I pray that we all may grow in the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.
